Candi’s Autumn presentation a real treat!

On a beautiful Autumn day we returned to Broom Hall Country Hotel for our lunch, where we welcome Candi Robertson along as our guest speaker. Candi is the face and passion behind Candi’s chutneys, a business she started 7 years ago having been a professional chef for over 20 years Candi started making chutney for Christmas gifts for friends and relatives, who then wanted to buy more. With this in mind, Candi made a large batch which soon sold out at a local Farmers’ Market. After many years of preparing food for others, Candi could see the pleasure the products brought to people as they ate. The Farmers’ Markets and Food Festivals became a main outlet for Candi and now involves all the family as it has successfully grown.

We all had a treat for the taste buds, from which it is clear to see why Candi has won 16 awards, including the most wished for award last year – Pride of Norfolk Food and Drink.

Exhibiting at the lunch was Carol Cooke with Cookie’s Creative Cakes. Again, our taste buds were treated with delicious cake and our eyes took in the wonderful array of celebration cakes for all occasions.

Our next lunch will have a festive theme and is at Broom Hall on Thursday 29 November, when we welcome Norwich complimentary therapist Kathy Webb, who has created her own range of natural beauty products Palm and Sole .

Tickets are priced at £17.50 and on a first come first served basis.
